Safety Lanyard, 2 Leg, Polyester, Yellow

CleanAir Engineering uses this safety lanyard in the field.  The lanyard has a working Length of 6 ft. while having an Extended Fall Length of 9-1/2 ft.  The maximum Weight Capacity is 310 lb., while having a Tensile Strength of 6000 lb.  Standards OSHA Requirements, ANSI A10.32 and CSA Certified.

There are no longer OSHA Guidelines or an ANSI Rule about how long a harness or lanyard can be left in service. It is up to the manufacturer to determine service life. In the past, OSHA stipulated a “5 year life” but neither OSHA nor ANSI have these requirements. In other words – the 5 year rule does not currently exist.

• OSHA 1926.502(d)(21) Personal fall arrest systems shall be inspected prior to each use for wear, damage and other deterioration, and defective components shall be removed from service.
• ANSI A10.32-2012 Fall protection equipment shall be removed from service upon evidence of defects, damage or deterioration; once it has been subjected to impact loading; or upon expiration of the manufacturer’s specified service life, whichever comes first.
