PARTICULATE MATTER

Low Detection Limits

While particulate matter measurements start in the field, getting low detection limits is a function of lab practices. Our NELAC accredited laboratory can reach detection limits that are an order of magnitude lower than EPA requirements. To reach low detection limits, we operate in a state-of-the-art climate-controlled environment, minimize static impacts during the weighing process, and carefully select balances and beakers.

Particle Sizing

Having knowledge of particle size distributions is integral to the design of new particulate control equipment and diagnosing problems on existing devices. Data from particle size distribution test programs can be used to improve the performance of ESPs, baghouses, and other pollution control devices. Our 40 years of in-house experience with in-situ Cascade Impactors has given us the capability to determine size specific morphology and chemical speciation. We also have the ability to sample in wet environments and obtain particle sizing data from droplet laden gas streams.

FCCU Testing

Our clients use our stack testing services to preserve catalysts, increase the lifespans of fan blades, and other methods for reducing capital expenditures. We can measure emissions at third and fourth stage separators, carbon monoxide boilers, electro-static precipitators and selective catalytic reduction units to provide profile mapping along the entire FCCU process.

PS-11, RRA, & RCA Testing

Performance Specification 11, Relative Response Audit, and Response Correlation Audit tests have specific guidelines and rules that are difficult to navigate. By asking the right questions upfront, performing the appropriate pre-tests, and properly planning every stage of a project, we can expedite testing to minimize the impact on your schedule.
